[...] I used the recipe from “The Weekly Dish” as a starting off point, however I altered it for a more asian flavour - I also baked the fish cakes rather than fried them for a healthier option! http://www.weeklydish.com/2006/01/12/what-to-do-with-leftover-fish/ [...]

This is great I am sooo enthousiastic about it that's what I am going to serve 2night! Isn't it better than just give the leftover fish to the cats? They are way too fat anyways and there is lot's of mice to catch :) (notice for the animal welfare soc.: I fed the cats too with their regular food)

Thank you thank you thank you for posting this!! We had leftover tilapia yesterday that I just couldn't bear to throw out...but like most I have never found a recipe to use for leftover fish...until now! I made it as listed, although instead of using regular bread crumbs I used panko. I also threw in a dash of Tabasco sauce as we prefer a little heat. The fishcakes made such a delicious lunch, I had no greens so we ate them topped with Thai Sweet Chili Sauce I had in the fridge (kind of a sweet & spicy remoulade). Yummy yummy yummy!!! Thanks again, so glad I stumbled onto your website!!

Just wanted to say thank you. I've never made fish cakes before, but had a little bit of leftover snapper I wanted to use up. I kind of used your recipe as a jumping off point (didn't have all ingredients, but substitutions seemed to work well). Thanks for an easy recipe that gave me the confidence to try this. It was a perfect light dinner over some baby salad greens. Actually, it was so easy and yummy, I cringe to think of the leftover fish I've wasted in the past for lack of a good recipe. I will definitely do this again.

Great way to use leftover fish...my hubby preferred it to the baked fish we had 2 days ago. This is a keeper. Thanks!
